IVLA College Scholarship Ivla understands the importance of a college education for students! We also understand the expense to families in providing a college education for their children. We are proud to announce that we are offering a $1,000 scholarship to a student who will be attending a post-secondary school in the Fall 2020. Scholarship Since 1984, the Horatio Alger Association has awarded over $159 million in college scholarships to deserving students. Through nationally recognized educational programs, the Association reaches out directly to our nation's young people with a message of hope, opportunity, responsibility, and perseverance. The association will award 1020 scholarships in 2019 with a maximum award amount of $2, 500 depending on the length of the program and need of the student. To be considered eligible for Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship Program, applicants must: - Have completed high school or earned a high school equivalency degree by Spring 2019 - Will be enrolled in eligible program in Fall 2019 - Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical program (up to 2 years) at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States - Demonstrated critical financial need (must be eligible to receive the Federal Pell grant as determined by completion of the FAFSA) - Demonstrated persevearance in overcoming adversity - Be under the age of 30 - Be a United States citizen Award: Maximum $2,500 Deadline: June 15, 2020 B&G Refrigeration Scholarship
