Foundation awards and scholarships in the form of rent-free housing to live in one of 27 furnished scholarship houses that are adjacent to their college campus. Scholarship This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who is a recipient of the AYCA for their respective school in St. Johns County. One scholarship will be awarded annually. Eligibility Requirements: The applicant must be a 2018-2019 graduate of a St. Johns County School. The applicant must also demonstrate the Six Pillars of Character Counts!: Recipients must enroll full time in a post-secondary degree program beginning with the Fall Term 2019. Award: $1,000 Deadline: 5p March 13, 2020 Donald and Barbara Mozley Scholarship The Donald and Barbara Mozley Scholarship provides financial support for students pursuing an engineering degree at an ABET-accredited college or university. Don Mozley was a renowned broadcast journalist who spent 62 years working for CBS Radio and KCBS/74 in San Francisco. Hired by CBS in 1942, Don covered such historic events as WWII, the atomic bomb tests at Bikini the presidential campaigns of Nixon and Eisenhower, and the Senate race of Robert Taft. He received the Excellence in Journalism Award from the Society of Professional Journalists' Northern California Chapter in recognition of his distinguished broadcasting career. In addition to news, Don's passion was cars and he spent much of his career covering automotive history in his features, "California Driver" and "Don Mozley's Auto Test". It is in the spirit of Don's love for cars that he established the Donald and Barbara Mozley Scholarship to support students pursuing degrees in engineering. Eligibility Requirements
Deadline: March 15, 2020 PVWC Scholarship 2020 Eligible students must be graduating high school seniors* who intend to continue their post-high school education at any school that is FAFSA** funded (i.e two or four-year college or university or a technical school). To be eligible for the funds, students must attend school within one year of the scholarship award date. Candidates are judges on the basis of scholarship, leadership, and interest in the field of education. Selection is made without regard to race, religion, color, gender, national origin or ancestry. 2. The winner of this scholarship must provide the address of the college to the Alpha Delta Kappa treasurer upon enrollment in the fall and provide proof of enrollment in the fall. A check will then be issued to the school in the name of the recipient. 3. Only students planning to enter the field of education should apply. 4. Fill out the application and use the reverse side if additional space is needed. When doing so, include the appropriate item number. 5. This year there will be two (2) $5,000 scholarships. One Scholarship will be based on merit and the other based on need. To be eligible, a nominee must be an attendee of a St. Johns county high school, in their last year, and intend to pursue a four-year collegiate degree. Award: $5,000 (2) Deadline: March 23, 2019 KFC REACH Educational Grant Program The REACH Educational Grant Program provides winning employees with college tuition assistance reimbursement for qualifying education expenses and access to discounted textbooks. REACH Grant recipients will receive one-on-one academic and career coaching by trusted advisors fromt he Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) to help them be successful in college and beyond! RGMs, AUMs, Shift Supervisors and Team Members at participating restaurants with a 2.5 GPA or higher are eligible to apply. There is no waiting period.
